Christmas it’s Time!
Saturday 1st December, from 19:30-23:00

The Ministry of Gozo proudly invites you to “Christmas – It’s Time!”
The night will act as the official opening ceremony of this year’s Christmas celebrations and will see Independence Square and Republic Street filled to the brim with Christmas songs, lights and spirit!
An all-child choir made up of children from different schools and choirs will kick off the evening in racecourse street, accompanied by the Junior Folk Band. They will parade up to Independence Square, where the official opening ceremony will be held.
Gozo Minister Hon. Justyne Caruana will perform the traditional “Mixeghla tad-dawl” by turning on the Christmas lights in racecourse street. A 3D mapping light show on the facade of Banca Guratale will also signify the official opening of Christmas month in Gozo.
All present will be invited to join in the merriment with some free mulled wine or hot chocolate whilst being warmly entertained by the wonderful Mae – band.

Bethlehem f’Ghajnsielem 2018
The tenth edition of Bethlehem f’Ghajnsielem opens on Sunday, 9th December
and remains open until Sunday, 6th January 2019.
Bethlehem f’ Ghajnsielem is an animated nativity village spread on 20,000sqm of land.
It offers naturalistic reproduction of the environment of Bethlehem and the timeless story of Nativity
every December at ‘Ta Passi’ fields in Ghajnsielem.
Although the nativity village is always open, it will only be ANIMATED on the following days:

Dinja tat-tfal – Children’s World
Gozo Sports Complex, from 10:00-20:00
For many of us, Christmas is about seeing the smiles on our children’s faces –
and this is what Dinja tat-tfal is all about!
On the 16th of December, the Gozo Sports complex will be hosting an entire day of events for children of all ages. Activities will include unlimited rides, face painting, arts, crafts, games, cartoon characters and much, much more!
This free event is supported by the Ministry for Gozo and any donations collected
will be presented to Puttinu Cares.
