Naples is known worldwide for what? Yes, Pizza! Why food makes Naples a part from its beauty so well known?
Probably for two reasons: first because the Napolitan cuisine (not only the pizza) has an old story to tell, from the Greek-Roman period to the French and the Spanish occupation of the city; and secondly (probably the main reason can be) for the fantasy and the creativity of the Napolitans when it comes to life and food!

At L’Oro da Napoli you can taste all the goodness of the earthen dishes
and the seafood ones.
Must try as a starter the traditional Napolitan earthen platter with croquettes, omelette, panzerotto, bruschetta with pachino tomatos and a selection of typical cheese from the hills of Sorrento like the “caprina” di Sorrento (sheep cheese), smoked provola cheese, buffalo mozzarella accompanied by Sarzanello ham!
You may like instead the fish platter… however for this one we cannot explain it in words, but we can invite you to dine at L’Oro da Napoli!
The Restaurant after five years of activity in Marsalforn Bay is widely recognized as an amazing experience of the Napolitan cuisine by Gozitans and Maltese as well as by tourists.
It actually boasts the prestigious seal of Quality Assured by the Malta Tourism Authority.
L’Oro da Napoli means “Gold from Naples”, so I asked Mimmo why this name. He answered that after fourty years of successful restaurants in Naples, he wanted to retire in the little island of Gozo but one thing he brough with himself, the authentic and traditional recipes of his dishes, that is the Gold from Naples!

Girolamo the Chef and Pasquale the assistant Chef proudly showed us two delicious cakes made with the fresher ricotta ever!
(Pears and Ricotta cake and Tiramisù… to die for)!!!
